Taking place on Friday the 26th of October through to Sunday the 28th of October. The workshop runs from 9.30am - 4.30pm each day with an hours lunch break.
You will need to bring your own packed lunch, though hot/cold drinks and biscuits will be provided.
The workshop is located at The Studio in the grounds of Stansted House, Rowlands Castle, Hampshire PO9 6DX (www.stanstedpark.co.uk)
This workshop offers you the chance to make your own Textile creature. Creating a form and exploring construction with wire, fabric, and stuffing.
There is no limit to what you wish to create, bearing
in mind the larger the piece the longer it will take to complete.
In a unique approach to sculpting we will wrap, layer and hand stitch fabric using wire armature where necessary to realise your vision.
As our animals take shape, the magic starts to happen, and a personality begins to emerge. At this point we can experiment with different methods of design, to build character and suggest expression using innovative sewing and wire working techniques.
Fabric, Wire and all the necessary tools are provided, but it is always nice to bring along your own selection of treasured fabrics and objects to personalize your sculpture.
A full information pack and requirement list will be sent to you once you register.
Class size is limited to five students.
Bookings are non refundable or transferable to a different workshop.
